What are some cheap and easy ways to Fundraise for local office?
My brother is running for school board and is trying to find some Ways To Fundraise for his campagin. What would be some good ideas in which he could help raise some money for his campagin?
Define cheap!
In many communities it is o-k to wear T Shirts advertising for Candidates while doing VOLUNTEER Work for worthy projects. In fact organize such a project; get a dozen or so of your brothers best friends together and repaint a local school or community center, let the media know, your brother is willing to do labor to help his community. And if people Wish, they can contribute money. You can tie this notion into a variety of projects. Senior Centers need helpers, once again make noise; ‘we’ are doing this to let ‘you’ know that so-and-so is running for.
School Board implies families – - – it is Summer. Do the children in your community play baseball or soccer regularly? Have your brother & friends organize a pot-luck picnic after the game or after the game take the kids to a pizza parlor.
In many caes you do not even need to ask outright for money. By organzing a pot-luck picnic your brother can meet face to face with parents/voters and let them know who he is and why they should vte for him. The very fact that your brother is treating ‘their’ children and them to hamburgers & hot dogs after a soccer game is sure to win votes (Heck, you can get food on an EBT card or from the local foodbank – - – seriously)..
And naturally the ole car wash bit is always an easy way out.
One last bit – - – again that T – Shirt – - – send several reliable supporters out in those Shirts, and have them offer to clean the windows of local businesses, Seriously, A store remembers when a nice person comes by and cleans their front window (and does a good job) and they will remember the candidate (and you can even incorporate washing windows to ‘letting in the light’ as a candidate).
